The All New Peugeot E-3008 has Arrived

Peugeot has revealed the third-generation 3008. For the first time, the range includes an all-electric vehicle, the E-3008. This EV goes on sale in February 2024 and is available for pre-order. The purchase cost of the E-3008 starts at £45,850.

E-3008 is a new addition to the range

When the updated 3008 range comes to the market, the car will be available in hybrid form and as the all-electric E-3008 for the first time. The £45,850 basic purchase price for the E-3008 lies between the purchase price for the Tesla Model Y and the Volkswagen ID.4. So, it’s competitive in the EV marketplace.

Currently, the E-3008 is available with one 73kWh battery. This battery provides an advertised range of up to 326 miles. According to Peugeot, a top-up from 20-80% takes around 30 minutes when fast charging.

Exterior of the new E-3008

The exterior of the new 3008 range stands out from the crowd. At the front of the vehicle is a trim panel with blended LED headlights. Lower down at the front is the three-claw LED light design, a more familiar symbol of Peugeot design.

You can really notice the difference between this and the previous incarnation of the 3008 when you look at the side. Here, you can see the sloping roofline and creases that make this car stand out as a sporty driving option.

The sporty styling continues at the rear of the vehicle, where sleek LED headlights are integrated into the trim panel. There’s also a sizeable roof spoiler and a gloss black trim on the lower bumper.

Moving inside the new E-3008, you get the same 520 litres of space as in previous 3008 models, despite the modern coupe styling. In higher-trim models, you also get a 21” panoramic screen, which houses the digital driver’s display.

This screen is part of the newly introduced cockpit set-up that includes touch-sensitive buttons, which can be customised to recognise ten favourite functions. The ambient LED lighting adds an extra touch of style. Additional physical buttons provide climate control and driving options.

Overall, it’s the perfect interior for anyone seeking a family-friendly SUV with a sporty edge. The fabric is funky, and the eight ambient lighting settings are a welcome addition.

An upgrade from Allure to GT trim costs approximately £3,500 on top of the advertised purchase price.
